Giulia & Gregg
Last Sunday I drove to the lovely Brookfield Barn to see the gorgeous Giulia & Gregg for their spring pre-wedding engagement shoot. We were blessed with a bright and sunny spring day at a time of the year when the temperature is just starting to warm up. I can’t wait until I can leave the house without a jacket.
It was my first visit to this beautiful rural venue and I am charmed. Set in peaceful countryside, away from any hustle and bustle, the location is stunning and a perfect wedding venue. I could see at once why Giulia & Gregg had chosen it.
We spent some time chatting with the friendly staff, checking out the getting ready salon and honeymoon suite and appreciating the stunning grounds, which include both indoor and outdoor ceremony spaces. Guilia & Gregg are keeping fingers crossed for an outdoor ceremony but if rain does call off play, the intimate indoor barn space with vaulted ceilings and stunning beams is certainly not a bad back up to have! If the weather on Guilia & Gregg’s wedding day is half as lovely as last Sunday, we’ll be in luck, but whatever happens, this venue won’t disappoint.
We took a stroll around the grounds, wandering the beautifully maintained golf course and enjoying the spring colours of daffodils and cherry blossoms blooming around us. I love this time of year. It always makes me more optimistic and full of the feelings of new beginnings and new stories waiting to unfold. Spring has well and truly sprung.
Giulia & Gregg were a dream to photograph; matching the spring weather with their smiles and light hearted natures. They are both gorgeous, fun, clearly the best of friends and very much in love. They made me laugh throughout and I can’t wait to shoot their wedding later on this year.
Here are some of my favourites from our morning together:
