Bewl Water Engagement
Bewl Water is a beautiful reservoir situated where Kent and Sussex meet. I caught up with Laura & Shan there last summer for their Bewl Water engagement photo shoot.
The main side of Bewl is chock full of boat trips, water sports, cyclists, dog-walkers and people just enjoying being by the water. It was a warm August day so it the main side was seriously busy!
I met Laura & Shan at the quieter part where we had the loveliest views to ourselves for the afternoon, save one photobombing doggy who wanted to join in on the fun. We were blessed with glorious blue skies and the calm tranquility of the still water provided a perfect backdrop for Laura & Shan’s photos. We even got to retreat to the welcome shade of a copse of trees.
Laura & Shan rocked their pre-wedding shoot. They are so relaxed with each other, very much in love and clearly the best of friends. I am itching to photograph their wedding at Swallows Oast at the end of the month. They told me all about their plans for the day during their pre-wedding shoot and we really got to know each other better. I knew from the moment I met them both that I would love to be their photographer and the more I get to know them over their wedding planning journey, the more excited I get to capture the memories of their wedding day for them.
I include pre-wedding shoots in all of my wedding collections so that my couples feel as comfortable and natural as possible in their wedding photos. It’s also just lovely to have some time together and get some portraits taken somewhere you love to be.
The recent warm weather and Laura & Shan’s fast approaching big day prompted me to look over their engagement shoot again and I knew I had to blog it to show these two to the world. Here’s some highlights from our wonderful afternoon together.
